Job Summary
Conduct general and vascular ultrasound examinations using high-frequency sound waves to generate images of internal organs and blood vessels. Prepare and position patients for scans while ensuring their comfort and safety, then evaluate resulting sonograms for diagnostic clarity and accuracy. Calibrate and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment to maintain functionality and compliance with safety standards. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in line with legal and regulatory requirements. Perform clinical assessments and diagnostic procedures effectively within fast-paced, high-pressure environments while collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program
- Minimum of one year of recent experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
- Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
- Valid Ultrasound license in compliance with state regulations
- Current Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certification (ARDMS)
- Current ARRT certification in sonography
- Other certifications or licenses
