Job Summary

Conduct general and vascular ultrasound examinations using high-frequency sound waves to generate images of internal organs and blood vessels. Prepare and position patients for scans, ensuring their comfort and safety while performing clinical assessments and diagnostic procedures. Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment to ensure functionality and compliance with safety standards. Evaluate images for clarity and accuracy, maintaining accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with legal and regulatory standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to integrate diagnostic imaging into patient care plans. Perform these duties efficiently in fast-paced environments while demonstrating critical thinking and strong interpersonal communication skills.

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program
  • Minimum of one year of recent experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
  • Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
  • Valid Ultrasound license in compliance with state regulations
  • Current Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certification (ARDMS)
  • Current ARRT certification in sonography
  • Other certifications or licenses
