Job Summary
Perform general and vascular ultrasound examinations using high-frequency sound waves to generate images of internal organs and blood vessels. Prepare and position patients for accurate imaging while ensuring their comfort and safety. Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment to ensure functionality and compliance with safety standards. Evaluate sonograms for clarity and accuracy, then maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with legal and regulatory standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to integrate diagnostic imaging into patient care plans.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program
- Minimum of one year of recent experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
- Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
- Valid Ultrasound license in compliance with state regulations
- Current Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certification (ARDMS)
- Current ARRT certification in sonography
- Other certifications or licenses
