Job Summary

Perform diagnostic sonography examinations of general and vascular studies using high-frequency sound waves to generate images of internal organs and blood vessels. Prepare and position patients for accurate imaging while evaluating results for clarity and diagnostic purposes. Calibrate and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment to ensure functionality and maintain precise patient records in compliance with legal standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to integrate imaging into patient care plans while working efficiently in fast-paced environments.

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program
  • Minimum of one year of recent experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
  • Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
  • Valid Ultrasound license in compliance with state regulations
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
  • Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism
  • Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
  • Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
  • Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel
  • Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail
  • Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
  • The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
  • Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Current Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer certification (ARDMS)
  • Current ARRT certification in Sonography
  • Current credential from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
