Job Summary
Perform diagnostic sonography examinations of general and vascular studies, preparing and positioning patients to ensure accurate imaging and comfort. Evaluate images for clarity, calibrate ultrasound equipment, and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to integrate diagnostic imaging into patient care plans while working efficiently in high-pressure environments. This 13-week travel assignment at a facility in Topeka, Kansas requires a licensed Ultrasound Technologist with one year of recent experience and current BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program
- Minimum of one year of recent experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Valid Ultrasound license in compliance with state regulations
- Current Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer certification (ARDMS)
- Current ARRT certification in Sonography
- Current credential from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
- Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism
- Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel
- Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail
- Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
