Job Summary
Perform echocardiography to assess cardiac structure and function using Doppler and 3-D imaging techniques. Maintain proficiency in operating echocardiography equipment, review patient history and verify orders, and educate patients on the procedure. Identify and document imaging artifacts, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. Adhere to infection control protocols and facility policies while working efficiently in fast-paced environments. Requires one year of recent Echo experience, current BLS certification, and valid state license. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits available for this 13-week assignment in Nashville.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program
- One year of recent experience as an Echo Cardiovascular Technologist
- Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
- Valid Ultrasound license in compliance with state regulations
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
- Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism
- Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel
- Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail
- Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
Desired Qualifications
- Current Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certification (ARDMS)
- Current ARRT Certification in Sonography
- Current Credential from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
