Job Summary
Evaluate, direct, and provide speech/language pathology services to patients in homes or facilities. Administer diagnostic tests, interpret results, and develop periodic reviews of treatment and care plans. Observe, record, and report patient condition changes to supervisors and physicians while providing instruction on alternative communication systems. Maintain documentation, submit written reports, and participate in care coordination and discharge planning. Maintain professional conduct regarding confidential information and attend required staff development and continuing education programs.
Required Qualifications
- Meet the education and experience requirements for Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology granted by ASHA
- Minimum of six months experience as a speech therapist / speech language pathologist
- A valid driver's license
- Auto insurance
- Reliable transportation
