Job Summary
Travel Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a 13-week travel assignment in West Melbourne, Florida. The SLP evaluates, diagnoses, and treats communication and swallowing disorders across age groups, developing individualized therapy plans and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. Responsibilities include using standardized assessments, designing therapy programs, documenting progress in the EMR, educating patients and families, coordinating care with other healthcare professionals, maintaining infection control and safety standards, engaging in QA and professional development, and performing additional duties within scope. Required skills include critical thinking, strong communication, English literacy, and PC proficiency; physical abilities include mobility and handling equipment; compensation includes competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, PTO after 1560 hours, 401(k) matching, and licensure/CEU reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Speech Language Pathologist License in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology (preferred)
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) (preferred)
- Speech Language Pathology experience; new grads welcome to apply
