Job Summary
Evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver therapy for speech, language, and swallowing disorders, including adults recovering from stroke or respiratory disease and children with cognitive communication disorders. Acclimate quickly to new workflows and charting systems while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance to ensure excellent customer satisfaction. Work 40 hours per week across 8-hour day shifts in an acute setting at SUNY Upstate Medical University.
Required Qualifications
- Speech/Language Pathologist, Acute
- SLP-NY
- ASHA-American Speech Language Hearing Association
- SSN Required
- DOB Required
- Master's Degree in Speech Pathology
- NYS licensure
- clinical certification in Speech Pathology (or its equivalent)
- completion of clinical fellowship year
- Outpatient Experience
