Job Summary
The Travel Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will evaluate, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders across diverse patient populations. Responsibilities include designing personalized therapy programs based on evaluations and goals, continuously assessing progress, maintaining accurate documentation in the electronic medical record, educating patients and families on effective communication strategies and safe swallowing practices, coordinating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, ensuring safe treatment environments per infection-control and regulatory standards, and participating in quality assurance and professional development activities. The role is a 13-week travel assignment with 40 hours per week. Essential duties also include implementing evidence-based practices, adapting plans as needed, and performing additional duties within the scope of practice.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Speech Language Pathologist License in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification ( AHA/ARC )
- Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree or higher of Speech Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology
- Speech Language Pathology experience, but New Grads are welcome to apply
- Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position
