Job Summary
Travel Speech-Language Pathologist needed for a 13-week assignment in Kansas City, MO. Works across acute care and inpatient rehabilitation (IRF) units within a Level 1 trauma and comprehensive stroke center. Caseload shared among therapists; performs bedside swallow evaluations (video swallow experience preferred); uses TIMS equipment for swallowing assessments; documents in Meditech EMR. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with rotating weekends preferred; no on-call requirements. 40 hours per week; travel contract with 13 weeks duration. Requires active Missouri SLP license and at least 1 year of experience; local candidates are not eligible (reside >50 miles from facility). Trainees will have exposure to diverse, complex cases across acute and rehab settings.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Active Missouri SLP license
- Two professional references required
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration; Canadian SSNs are not accepted
- Competency in bedside swallow evaluations
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
