Job Summary
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) on a travel assignment is responsible for assessing patients with speech, language, and swallowing needs and delivering skilled therapy per physician orders. Responsibilities include providing interventions to improve articulation and voice, develop or restore oral and written language skills, teach compensatory strategies for safe swallowing, and setting realistic goals to help patients meet educational, vocational, and social goals. The role involves conducting assessments, planning and modifying care to meet therapy objectives, and delivering play-based or task-oriented therapy across a 40-hour workweek in a travel-capable healthcare setting.
Required Qualifications
- Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist / SLP or actively pursuing licensure
- At least one year of professional working experience
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current CPR certification
- Must have CCC's
