Job Summary
Travel Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for an acute care setting in Plantation, FL. Responsibilities include diagnosing, treating, and preventing speech, language, and swallowing disorders; creating individualized treatment and therapy plans; performing screenings; educating patients and families about speech disorders and causes; reporting progress to families, teachers, or medical professionals; and providing timely documentation compliant with state and insurance guidelines. 13-week assignment, 40 hours per week, dayshift; must have ASHA-SLP certification with state licensing and BLS; 6 months of experience required (6 months acceptable for exceptional candidates).
Required Qualifications
- 6 months of experience (new grads encouraged)
- BLS
- ASHA-SLP National Certification with state-specific licensing
- ability to stand and walk for long periods
- knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology
