Job Summary
Prepare tray set-ups, take diagnostic X-Rays, and assist with bonding, banding, and orthodontic procedures for general dentistry and specialty services. Monitor patient vital signs, suction, cut sutures, and mix materials while ensuring infection control and OSHA protocol compliance. Review patient charts prior to doctor arrival, educate families on oral health, and provide chairside assistance for patients under oral or IV sedation. Maintain exam room cleanliness, stock supplies, and manage daily assignments in a fast-growing multi-specialty dental group across the United States.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) License registered with the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners (TSBDE)
- Ability to travel
- Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA and Infection Control training
- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs
- Prolonged sitting and standing as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Current certification to monitor Nitrous Oxide
- Dental practice management software (Open Dental/Dentrix) experience
- Bilingual (Spanish)
