Job Summary
Travel Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week assignment at a Skilled Nursing Facility in New Hope, MN. You’ll work under a supervising Physical Therapist to help patients recover mobility and function, with duties including implementing treatment plans, assisting with gait training, and using devices like Hoyer lifts, gait belts, and walkers. Requires an Associate degree in Physical Therapy and an active Minnesota PTA license; BLS may be required. 40 hours/week, 8-hour shifts, travel-friendly benefits including housing options and travel/license reimbursement. Prior geriatrics/transfers experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational program
- Active Minnesota PTA license required to start the assignment
- BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required by the client
- Experience working in skilled nursing facility settings preferred
- Client prefers candidates with geriatrics, transfers and gait training, and use of assistive devices such as Hoyer lift, gait belt, and walkers
- Ability to follow skilled treatment plans developed by a supervising Physical Therapist and document per facility policy
