Job Summary
Travel Occupational Therapist needed for a 13-week assignment at a Skilled Nursing Facility in Merced, CA. The OT will help patients regain or improve daily living, motor, cognitive, and upper-extremity skills in a geriatric population. Role includes 40 hours/week, 8-hour shifts, travel placement with 100% travel-focused benefits such as on-site housing and license reimbursement. Requires licensure in California (OT), and may require BLS. Prior SNF/long-term care experience and familiarity with SNF documentation systems/EMR are preferred. The position emphasizes rehabilitation, post-acute care, dementia/Alzheimer’s care, and geriatric therapy within a SNF setting, with pay aligned to a weekly rate for a travel assignment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program
- Active California Occupational Therapy License required to start the assignment
- BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required
- Experience working in skilled nursing facility (SNF) or long-term care settings preferred
- Clinical experience treating geriatric population, Alzheimer’s/dementia care, or post-acute rehab preferred
- Proficiency with common SNF documentation systems and electronic medical records preferred
