Travel Sales Manager

Job Summary

Drive travel sales revenue by managing team performance, coaching Travel Advisors, and establishing staffing levels across Utah, Montana, Wyoming, and Alaska. Analyze sales trends to execute incentive programs and marketing campaigns, while resolving member issues and ensuring compliance with agency policies. Identify process efficiencies in automation and reporting workflows, and build relationships with vendors and industry leaders to improve member value propositions. Oversee day-to-day operations of Counselors, manage hiring and training, and provide recommendations to senior management on products and benefits. Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, valid driver's license, and ability to work extended hours.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 years of travel sales & service experience
  • 3+ years of supervisory/management experience
  • Ability to work an extended hour schedule as necessitated by business need
  • Strong sales coaching skills
  • Driven people leader with effective coaching, organization, interpersonal, and communication (oral and written) skills
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills
  • Proficient in customer issue resolution
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office applications or Google Suite equivalency
  • Ability to identify potential people-side risks and anticipated points of resistance, and develop specific plans to mitigate or address concerns
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with automation, reporting, policies, and procedures for reservation booking, report generation, and workflow management
  • Experience building relationships with industry representatives, vendors, local community leaders, and travel professionals
  • Experience understanding industry trends and making recommendations to senior management regarding marketing, products, member benefits etc
  • Experience keeping staff informed of industry changes, agency and Club changes, and vendor requirements
  • Experience establishing appropriate staffing levels for locations and remote teams
  • Experience managing employment process including hiring, training, and motivating a driven, positive, and successful team and performance management
  • Experience working with Managers to oversee day-to-day performance of Counselors
  • Experience assisting in development and execution of training
  • Experience ensuring that Club policies and procedures are followed
