Job Summary
Travel Sales Advisor at AAA in San Jose drives member travel experiences by owning the end-to-end sales cycle for international and domestic packages. Responsibilities include initiating contact with members and prospects, maintaining and exceeding travel sales production goals, cross-selling related products (credit cards, memberships), researching Partner packages to match member needs, handling ticketing for air/hotel/rail, and using industry systems (GDS/Apollo/Galileo) and Google Workspace to manage bookings. Requires strong computer skills, travel product knowledge, geographic literacy, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The role is full-time, in-branch at the San Jose Stevens Creek Branch with weekend hours and occasional evenings; bilingual abilities are a plus.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of general sales experience
- Ability to work in-office five days a week (Tuesday-Saturday)
- Sufficient knowledge of travel products and world geography
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and familiarity with travel systems (GDS/Apollo/Galileo)
- Strong communicative and consultative selling skills
- Ability to read maps and brochures and tailor recommendations to members
