Job Summary
Provide respiratory care treatment, oxygen services, diagnostic testing, and ventilation support to in-patients and out-patients ranging from neonatal to geriatric. Set up, monitor, and wean oxygen therapy and artificial ventilation while drawing, analyzing, and reporting Arterial Blood Gases and EKGs. Deliver intermittent therapy, assist with changing artificial airways, and perform routine and advanced therapeutic procedures per policy. Review and document all clinical information, including psycho-social and educational criteria appropriate to the patient's age. Requires a current state license, National Board certification, and proficiency with Windows-style applications and data entry. Works a flexible schedule including 24/7 coverage, weekends, holidays, and on-call availability with potential exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous medications.
Required Qualifications
- Current License as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice
- Certification by the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Must be able to travel throughout and between facilities
- Must be able to work a flexible work schedule (24/7, weekend, holiday, on call availability)
