Job Summary
Travel Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Bradenton, FL. Responsibilities include providing advanced respiratory care in ICU and emergency settings, independently assessing and managing patients, collaborating with physicians to develop treatment plans, performing diagnostic tests (lung capacity, blood/sputum collection), administering treatments (chest physiotherapy, aerosol medications), setting up and monitoring respiratory equipment, and educating patients and families on medication use and equipment. Requires NBRC RRT credential, state license, English proficiency, and ability to travel; travel benefits and comprehensive insurance are included.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC
- Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations
- One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Physical ability to perform duties (stationary work, move equipment, lift 50-100lbs)
- Technical skills including use of department equipment and performing diagnostic tests such as lung function tests and sample collection
- Ability to educate patients and/or family members on medications and equipment
