Job Summary
Collaborate with physicians to develop patient treatment plans for complex pulmonary disorders and critical illnesses. Perform diagnostic tests, including measuring lung capacity and collecting blood or sputum samples, while treating patients through chest physiotherapy and aerosol medications. Set up and monitor equipment to ensure correct oxygen delivery rates and educate patients and families on medication use and equipment operation. Manage duties within the scope of RRT practice, including moving equipment up to 100lbs and working under pressure to meet deadlines. Requires one year of recent RRT experience, NBRC credential, and valid Washington state license. Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC
- Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel
- Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
- Must be able to move about
- Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs)
- Must be able to push
- Must be able to pull
- Must be able to bend
- Must have the ability to grasp
- Must have the ability to perform fine manipulation
