Travel RRT - ICU - Respiratory Therapy

Job Summary
Collaborate with physicians to develop patient treatment plans and independently assess, treat, and manage patients with complex pulmonary disorders in the ICU. Perform diagnostic tests, administer aerosol medications, and set up equipment to ensure correct oxygen delivery. Educate patients and family members on medication use and equipment operation while performing other duties as assigned. Requires one year of recent RRT experience, valid NBRC credential, and state license. Full schedule includes comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance with first day coverage, life and disability options, and licensure reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC
- Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel
- Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
- Must be able to move about
- Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs)
- Must be able to push
- Must be able to pull
- Must be able to bend
- Must have the ability to grasp
- Must have the ability to perform fine manipulation
- Must have the ability to push/pull
- Must have the ability to move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
