Job Summary
Collaborate with physicians to develop patient treatment plans for individuals with complex pulmonary disorders and critical illnesses. Perform diagnostic tests, including measuring lung capacity and collecting blood or sputum samples, while treating patients through chest physiotherapy and aerosol medications. Set up and monitor equipment to ensure correct oxygen delivery rates and educate patients or family members on medication and equipment use. Maintain a stationary position, move equipment weighing 50-100lbs, and work under pressure to meet deadlines. Requires one year of recent RRT experience, NBRC credential, and valid Georgia license. Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC
- Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
- Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs)
- Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally
- Must be able to work without assistance from other personnel
- Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
