Job Summary
Collaborate with physicians to develop patient treatment plans for complex pulmonary disorders and critical illnesses. Perform diagnostic tests, including measuring lung capacity and collecting samples, while treating patients through chest physiotherapy and aerosol medications. Set up and monitor equipment to ensure accurate oxygen delivery and educate patients on medication and device usage. Requires one year of recent RRT experience, valid NBRC credential, and state license. Full-time 13-week assignment in Rapid City, South Dakota with highly competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and licensure reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC
- Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel
- Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
- Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
