Job Summary
Conduct advanced respiratory care for patients with complex pulmonary disorders and critical illnesses by independently assessing, treating, and managing respiratory conditions in intensive care units. Collaborate with physicians to develop treatment plans, perform diagnostic tests such as lung capacity measurements, and administer therapies including chest physiotherapy and aerosol medications. Set up and monitor equipment to ensure correct oxygen delivery while educating patients and families on medication use and equipment operation. Manage duties including moving equipment up to 100lbs and working under pressure with occasional close supervision. Requires one year of recent RRT experience, NBRC credential, and valid Georgia license.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC
- Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
- Must be able to move about
- Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs)
- Must be able to push
- Must be able to pull
- Must be able to bend
- Must have the ability to grasp
- Must have the ability to perform fine manipulation
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally
- Must be able to work without assistance from other personnel
- Must possess visual acuity
- Must be able to effectively communicate
