Travel RRT - ICU - Respiratory Therapy

Job Summary

Collaborate with physicians to develop patient treatment plans and independently assess, treat, and manage patients with complex pulmonary disorders and critical illnesses in the ICU. Perform diagnostic tests such as measuring lung capacity or collecting samples, while treating patients through chest physiotherapy and aerosol medications. Set up and monitor equipment to ensure correct oxygen delivery, educate patients and families on medication and equipment use, and complete other duties as assigned within the scope of RRT practice. Requires one year of recent experience, an NBRC RRT credential, and a valid Pennsylvania license. This 13-week assignment offers highly competitive pay, comprehensive medical/dental/vision insurance with first-day coverage, and reimbursement for licensure and CEUs.

Required Qualifications

  • One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC
  • Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations
  • The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position
  • Must be able to move about
  • Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs)
  • Must be able to push
  • Must be able to pull
  • Must be able to bend
  • Must have the ability to grasp
  • Must have the ability to perform fine manipulation
  • Must have the ability to push/pull
  • Must have the ability to move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
  • Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers
  • Must be able to meet deadlines under pressure
  • Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally
  • Must be able to work without assistance from other personnel
  • Must possess visual acuity
  • Must be able to effectively communicate
  • Must be able to travel to Hershey, Pennsylvania for a 13-week assignment
