Job Summary
Deliver patient care using the nursing process, assess learning needs, and implement teaching strategies for diverse patient populations. Manage nursing team resources and lead the interdisciplinary team while adapting communication styles to specific patient populations. Evaluate data to promote change and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and accreditation standards. Perform duties involving exposure to blood, body fluids, and hazardous medications. Complete three 12-hour shifts with a requirement to live more than 65 miles from the job site. Maintain current RN license and BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Registered nurse diploma
- Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Good organizational and time management skills and ability to be self-directed
- Ability to demonstrate good judgement
- Registered Nurse - LA or Compact
- 1 year experience required
- Must live >65 miles from job site
Desired Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing
- Certification in clinical specialty area
- 2 year experience preferred
