Job Summary
Provide high-quality, person-centered nursing care to residents while supervising CNAs and ensuring regulatory compliance. Administer medications, IV therapy, and wound care; monitor resident conditions, and communicate findings to physicians and leadership. Complete accurate clinical documentation, maintain medication records, and follow care plans. Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharge planning as needed. Respond promptly to call lights and emergency situations. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement initiatives. Travel to assigned Iowa facilities to provide clinical support. Valid Iowa RN license, CPR certification, and ability to travel throughout Iowa required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to travel throughout Iowa with reliable transportation
- Strong knowledge of nursing practice, resident care, and long-term care regulations
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Desired Qualifications
- At least one year of RN experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting
- Previous Charge Nurse or nursing leadership experience
- Previous Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) experience
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local long-term care regulations
