Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care and supervise CNAs while ensuring regulatory compliance and maintaining a safe environment for residents. Administer medications, monitor condition changes, and communicate findings to physicians. Complete accurate clinical documentation, follow care plans, and assist with admissions, transfers, and discharge planning. Oversee wound care, maintain medication records, and respond to emergency situations. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and participate in Quality Assurance initiatives. Travel to assigned Iowa facilities to provide clinical leadership and support resident-centered care.
Required Qualifications
- Valid, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to travel throughout Iowa with reliable transportation
- Strong knowledge of nursing practice, resident care, and long-term care regulations
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Desired Qualifications
- At least one year of RN experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting
- Previous Charge Nurse or nursing leadership experience
- Previous Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) experience
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local long-term care regulations
