Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care and supervise staff across Iowa skilled nursing facilities. Administer medications, monitor resident conditions, and ensure compliance with clinical standards and regulatory requirements. Complete accurate documentation, manage care plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for admissions, transfers, and discharge planning. Respond promptly to emergencies and infection prevention needs while participating in quality improvement initiatives. Requires an unencumbered RN license in Iowa, current CPR certification, and ability to travel throughout the state.
Required Qualifications
- Valid, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to travel throughout Iowa with reliable transportation
- Strong knowledge of nursing practice, resident care, and long-term care regulations
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Desired Qualifications
- At least one year of RN experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting
- Previous Charge Nurse or nursing leadership experience
- Previous Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) experience
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local long-term care regulations
