Job Summary
Provide high-quality, person-centered nursing care while supervising CNAs and other staff across assigned Iowa facilities. Administer medications, injections, and IV therapy; monitor resident conditions; and ensure accurate clinical documentation and compliance with regulatory standards. Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharge planning; oversee wound care and infection prevention protocols. Respond to emergency situations and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. Travel to various skilled nursing facilities to support clinical leadership and quality assurance initiatives. Valid Iowa RN license, current CPR certification, and ability to travel throughout the state required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to travel throughout Iowa with reliable transportation
- Strong knowledge of nursing practice, resident care, and long-term care regulations
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Desired Qualifications
- At least one year of RN experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting
- Previous Charge Nurse or nursing leadership experience
- Previous Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) experience
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local long-term care regulations
