Job Summary
Assess patient needs and implement teaching strategies for diverse groups while managing nursing team resources and fiscal budgets. Utilize the nursing process to deliver patient care, adapt communication styles to specific populations, and evaluate outcomes to promote change. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local laws, accreditation standards, and the employer's Compliance & Privacy Program. Perform duties involving exposure to blood, body fluids, and hazardous medications within a patient care area. Requires current RN license in Louisiana or Compact state, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, plus 2+ years of ER experience. Flexible PRN schedule with 3x 12h shifts (36h min per week).
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Certification
- Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- 2+ years experience in ER
- Valid RN license in the state of work
- RN license for Louisiana or Compact
- Reliable transportation
- Punctuality
- Only Travelers accepted
- >65 miles from job site
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing

- 1 year experience in each field of work
