Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope direct patient care in the UCHealth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion IP Behavioral Unit, initiating corrective action for adverse symptomology and responding to critical situations with composure. Manage complex behavioral health populations using nursing standards and protocols, while modeling proficiency by precepting new staff. Handle highly stressful scenarios efficiently to secure safety and quality at the point of care within a multidisciplinary team environment. Requires a CO RN license, one year of experience, and current BLS certification. Full-time nights shift with 13-week assignments available.
Required Qualifications
- CO RN license or eNLC privileges
- 1-year experience
- BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- Nights shift availability
- Full Time employment classification
- 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) availability
- Travel package/stipend acceptance
- 13 week assignments availability
- Extension options availability
- Residency within 75 miles for LOCAL RN Traveler contract option
- Minimum of three days availability
- Initiates corrective action whenever patient presentation shows adverse symptomology
- Responds to patient care situations utilizing nursing standards and protocols for treatment
- Provides psychiatric nursing to a complex behavioral health patient population in a complex environment
- Handles critical and highly stressful situations, reacting decisively with efficiency and composure
