Job Summary
Travel Respiratory Therapist provides advanced respiratory care to patients with pulmonary disorders and critical illnesses in a travel assignment. Responsibilities include collaborating with physicians to develop patient treatment plans; examining and interviewing patients with respiratory/cardiopulmonary conditions; performing diagnostic tests (lung capacity, specimen collection); delivering therapies such as chest physiotherapy and aerosol medications; setting up and monitoring oxygen delivery; observing and documenting patient status; working with a multidisciplinary team to ensure appropriate care; educating patients and families on medications and equipment; and performing other duties within RRT scope.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC
- Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
