Job Summary
Assess, treat, and manage patients with complex pulmonary disorders and critical illnesses, including those in intensive care units and emergency situations. Collaborate with physicians to develop treatment plans, perform diagnostic tests like lung capacity measurements, and administer therapies such as chest physiotherapy and aerosol medications. Monitor equipment settings for correct oxygen delivery, record patient status, and educate patients or families on medication use and equipment operation. Requires one year of recent RRT experience, NBRC credential, and valid Maryland license with BLS certification. Competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and 12-week travel assignment in Baltimore.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC
- Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
