Job Summary
Conduct advanced respiratory care for patients with complex pulmonary disorders and critical illnesses, including intensive care and emergency settings. Independently assess, treat, and manage patients through diagnostic testing, chest physiotherapy, aerosol medications, and oxygen monitoring. Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop treatment plans, observe patient progress, and educate families on medication and equipment use. Maintain equipment and ensure accurate oxygen delivery rates while documenting status and responding to irregular activity schedules. Requires one year of recent RRT experience, NBRC credential, and valid Pennsylvania license.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC
- Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Critical thinking
