Job Summary
Assess, treat, and manage patients with complex pulmonary disorders and critical illnesses, including those in intensive care units and emergency situations. Collaborate with physicians to develop treatment plans, perform diagnostic tests, and administer therapies such as chest physiotherapy and aerosol medications. Set up and monitor equipment to ensure correct oxygen delivery, while observing and recording patient status. Educate patients and families on medication use and equipment operation. Requires one year of recent RRT experience, NBRC credential, and valid Virginia license. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits included.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC
- Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Critical thinking
