Job Summary
Travel Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Detroit, MI. Provides advanced respiratory care to patients with complex pulmonary disorders and critical illnesses; independently assesses, treats, and manages patients with respiratory conditions in ICU and emergency situations. Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams to develop patient treatment plans; performs diagnostic tests (lung capacity, sample collection); administers therapies (chest physiotherapy, aerosol medications); sets up and monitors oxygen delivery; educates patients and families on medications and equipment; adheres to NBRC-certified standards and state regulations. Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English; strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with a multidisciplinary team.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC
- Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
