Job Summary
Conduct advanced respiratory care for patients with complex pulmonary disorders and critical illnesses, including independent assessment, treatment, and management in intensive care and emergency settings. Collaborate with physicians to develop treatment plans, perform diagnostic tests such as lung capacity measurements, and administer therapies like chest physiotherapy and aerosol medications. Monitor oxygen delivery rates, record patient status, and educate patients and families on medication use and equipment operation. Maintain equipment functionality and work within the scope of RRT practice as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC
- Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Critical thinking
