Job Summary
A Registered Respiratory Therapist provides advanced respiratory care to patients with complex pulmonary disorders and critical illnesses. This travel assignment for 13 weeks in Columbia, MD requires collaborating with physicians and healthcare teams to develop patient treatment plans, performing diagnostic tests and treatments (lung capacity measurements, sputum collection, chest physiotherapy, aerosol medications), setting up and monitoring oxygen delivery, and educating patients and families on medication use and equipment. Must have NBRC RRT credentials, valid state license, and BLS certification; ACLS/PALS preferred. Minimum of one year RRT experience; travel specifics include working in ICU and emergency settings and supporting patients across a range of respiratory conditions.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC
- Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
