Job Summary
Travel Respiratory Therapist provides advanced respiratory care to patients with complex pulmonary disorders, collaborating with physicians and healthcare teams to develop and implement treatment plans. Responsibilities include examining patients with breathing/cardiopulmonary disorders, performing diagnostic tests (lung capacity, blood/sputum samples), administering therapies (chest physiotherapy, aerosol medications), setting up/monitoring oxygen delivery, recording patient status, educating patients and families on medications and equipment, and performing duties within the RRT scope of practice. Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC
- Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
