Job Summary
Assess, treat, and manage patients with complex pulmonary disorders and critical illnesses, including those in intensive care units and emergency situations. Collaborate with physicians to develop patient treatment plans while performing diagnostic tests such as measuring lung capacity or collecting blood/sputum samples. Treat patients through various methods including chest physiotherapy and aerosol medications, set up and monitor equipment to ensure correct oxygen delivery, and observe and record patient status and progress. Educate patients and family members on medication use and equipment operation. This 13-week travel assignment in Wausau, Wisconsin requires one year of recent RRT experience and NBRC credentialing.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC
- Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Critical thinking

- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
- Ability to follow verbal instructions
- Proficiency in PC skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
