Job Summary
Assess, treat, and manage patients with complex pulmonary disorders and critical illnesses, including those in intensive care units and emergency situations. Collaborate with physicians to develop treatment plans while performing diagnostic tests such as measuring lung capacity or collecting blood and sputum samples. Set up and monitor equipment to ensure correct oxygen delivery, administer chest physiotherapy and aerosol medications, and educate patients and families on medication use and equipment operation. Independently observe and record patient status and progress while working with a multidisciplinary team to deliver life-saving therapies. Requires one year of recent RRT experience, NBRC credential, and valid state license. Competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and 13-week travel assignment in Susanville, California.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC
- Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
