Job Summary
Travel Respiratory Therapist positioned for a 13-week travel assignment in a Miami-based facility. Provides advanced respiratory care to patients with complex pulmonary disorders and critical illnesses, including ICU and emergency settings. Responsibilities include collaborating with physicians to develop patient treatment plans, performing diagnostic tests (lung capacity, blood/sputum samples), administering treatments (chest physiotherapy, aerosol medications), setting up and monitoring oxygen delivery, observing patient status, documenting progress, and educating patients and families on medication use and equipment. Works with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care and may perform other duties within the RRT scope.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC
- Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
