Job Summary
Travel Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Salem, VA. Provides advanced respiratory care to patients with pulmonary disorders and critical illnesses; collaborates with physicians to develop treatment plans; performs diagnostic tests (lung capacity, blood/sputum samples); administers therapies including chest physiotherapy and aerosol medications; sets up and monitors respiratory equipment and oxygen delivery; documents patient status; educates patients and families on medication use and equipment; works with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care; requires NBRC RRT credential, active license, and BLS; ACLS/PALS preferred.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC
- Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
