Job Summary
Travel Respiratory Therapist (RRT) needed for a 17-week travel assignment in Bronx, NY. Responsibilities include collaborating with physicians to develop patient treatment plans, examining and interviewing patients with respiratory or cardiopulmonary disorders, performing diagnostic tests (lung capacity, sample collection), administering therapies (chest physiotherapy, aerosolized medications), setting up and monitoring respiratory equipment, monitoring patient progress, and educating patients/families on medications and equipment. Requires NBRC RRT, NY license, 1 year of RRT experience, and BLS; ACLS/PALS preferred. Travel benefits and licensure CEU reimbursement provided. Strong critical thinking and communication skills required; ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and manage equipment and patient care in various clinical settings.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC
- Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
