Job Summary
Travel Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week assignment in Odessa, Texas. Provides advanced respiratory care to patients with pulmonary disorders and critical illness, independently assesses, treats, and manages patients, collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams, performs diagnostic tests (lung capacity, specimen collection), administers therapies (chest physiotherapy, aerosol medications), sets up and monitors respiratory equipment to ensure correct oxygen delivery, documents patient status, and educates patients and families on medications and equipment. Works within ICU and emergency contexts and supports the multidisciplinary team to ensure appropriate patient care.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC
- Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
