Job Summary
Conduct advanced respiratory care for patients with complex pulmonary disorders and critical illnesses in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Independently assess, treat, and manage patients in intensive care units and emergency situations while collaborating with physicians to develop treatment plans. Perform diagnostic tests, administer aerosol medications, and monitor equipment to ensure accurate oxygen delivery. Educate patients and families on medication use and equipment operation. Maintain patient status records and work under pressure with irregular schedules. One year of recent RRT experience and NBRC credential required.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC
- Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Critical thinking
