Job Summary
Travel Respiratory Therapist provides advanced respiratory care to patients with complex pulmonary disorders and critical illnesses on a 13-week travel assignment in Dubois, PA. Responsibilities include collaborating with physicians to develop patient treatment plans, examining and interviewing patients with cardiopulmonary disorders, performing diagnostic tests (lung capacity measurement, blood/sputum collection), treating patients with chest physiotherapy and aerosol medications, setting up and monitoring oxygen therapy, observing and recording patient status, and educating patients and families on medication use and equipment. Requires NBRC RRT, valid state license, and BLS; ACLS/PALS certifications preferred. The role emphasizes teamwork with a multidisciplinary clinical staff and travel-healthcare logistics.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC
- Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
