Job Summary
Collaborate with physicians to develop patient treatment plans for individuals with complex pulmonary disorders and critical illnesses. Examine and interview patients, perform diagnostic tests, and treat conditions through chest physiotherapy and aerosol medications. Set up and monitor equipment to ensure correct oxygen delivery, while observing and recording patient status and progress. Educate patients and family members on medication use and equipment operation. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver appropriate care, performing other duties as assigned within the scope of RRT practice.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC
- Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Critical thinking
